SEO keyword rankings are a critical aspect of digital marketing, reflecting how well your website's pages perform in search engine results for specific search terms. Keyword rankings refer to the position your website appears in on a search engine like Google when someone types in a specific word or phrase (known as a "keyword"). Google & Bing Keyword Rankings
This page shows the position in which your keywords are ranking on each site.
At the top of your screen, use the navigation to display keyword rankings for Google or Bing. Note that Google offers the option to toggle between Desktop and Mobile rankings, as these may differ. In addition, select whether you want to display All Keywords, Primary Keywords, or Secondary Keywords.
Google Search Console
Google Search Console analyzes how your keywords are performing in terms of visitor behavior, rather than keyword ranking. This page gives data for how often your keywords appear and which of your keywords are clicked the most often.
- Total Keywords - This number is the total number of keywords where your website appears in Google search results (regardless of whether the keyword is targeted by your SEO program
- Clicks - Number of clicks from an organic result taking the visitor to your website
- Impressions - Number of times your website appeared in organic search results
- Avg CTR - Average click-through rate, which is your number of clicks divided by your number of impressions. This metric is used to determine, of the available opportunities for a visitor to click on your site, how often your site is chosen. A high CTR means your site is standing out from the competition
Below is the table for your keyword performance. In addition to their position on the page, these keywords also show metrics for how visitors are engaging with them. In this table position refers to the average position of the topmost result from your site. Use the filters and search options at the top to display them in a different order or search for specific keywords.
Combining the data from Google Search Console and your Keyword Rankings can give a more complete picture of your website's performance in search. Keyword Rankings shows how your website is ranking for a specific search, and Google Search Console shows which searches are the most valuable, in terms of which searches are performed and/or clicked on more often.
