This article covers how to view and manage your staff list in Thryv® Workforce Center™, including the Active, Onboarding, and Inactive staff tabs, employee profile sections, onboarding review, and dismissal records. This article does not cover running payroll or managing time and attendance. For help running payroll, see how to run payroll in Thryv Workforce Center.
Why the Staff List Keeps Your Workforce Information Organized
The staff list in Thryv Workforce Center is the central location for viewing and managing information about every employee — from their job title and pay settings to their personal information, tax documents, and onboarding status. Keeping staff records accurate and up to date in the staff list ensures payroll runs correctly, tax documents are accessible, and employee information is available when needed. The level of information visible in the staff list depends on your role in Thryv Workforce Center:
Staff — The staff list is not accessible to employees with the Staff role.
Manager — Managers can view contact information for all staff members.
Admin — Admins can view contact information and pay information for all staff members and can make changes to staff records.
How to Access the Staff List in Thryv Workforce Center
To access the staff list, select Staff in the left-hand navigation of your Thryv Workforce Center account. The staff list is divided into three tabs — Active, Onboarding, and Inactive — each displaying a different category of staff members.

The Inactive tab displays former staff members whose records are retained for tax and record-keeping purposes.
How to View and Manage Active Staff Members
The Active tab displays all employees who have completed their onboarding and are currently on payroll. Select an employee to open the employee profile. The employee profile is divided into three sections — Jobs and Pay, Personal, and Documents. In all three sections, the employee's Thryv Workforce Center role can be edited and past pay statements can be viewed. Editing the Thryv Workforce Center role does not change the employee's compensation, job title, or access level in any other Thryv products.

On the right side of the profile, the Dismissal Notes field is available to view or update. Dismissal Notes are an internal-only record used to document the reason for dismissal and any relevant notes — this information is visible only to managers and admins. Frequently Asked Questions
What does this article cover?
This article covers how to view and manage the staff list in Thryv Workforce Center, including the Active, Onboarding, and Inactive tabs, employee profile sections, onboarding review, and dismissal records. This article does not cover running payroll or managing time and attendance. For help running payroll, see how to run payroll in Thryv Workforce Center.
Who can view and edit information in the staff list?
Access to the staff list depends on the Thryv Workforce Center role assigned to the user. Staff members with the Staff role cannot access the staff list. Managers can view contact information for all staff members but cannot make changes. Admins can view both contact and pay information for all staff members and can make changes to staff records.
How do I rehire a former employee?
To rehire a former employee who appears in the Inactive tab, add the staff member as a new employee following the standard hiring process. The staff member will be sent a new onboarding invitation and must complete payroll self-onboarding again before moving to Active status.
Can I permanently delete a staff member's records?
Yes, but only during the onboarding stage. Selecting Remove Employee and confirming with Delete Staff permanently deletes all records for a staff member who has not yet completed onboarding. This action cannot be undone. Once a staff member has completed onboarding and moved to Active status, dismissing the employee moves the record to Inactive status — the records are retained and cannot be permanently deleted.
Who can see the Dismissal Notes on an inactive employee profile?
Dismissal Notes are visible only to managers and admins in Thryv Workforce Center. The information entered in the Dismissal Notes field is an internal record only and is not visible to the former employee.
