Every piece of content in your Thryv Content Library is associated with one or more default connected social accounts. When content is published, Thryv automatically assigns it to those default accounts. If you need to update the default social accounts for a large number of content items, updating them one at a time is time-consuming. The bulk operations feature in your Content Library lets you update the default social accounts for multiple pieces of content at once, so you can make sweeping changes to your content setup in just a few clicks and get back to running your business.
How to Bulk Update Default Social Accounts for Content
Follow these steps to change the default social accounts for multiple pieces of content at once in your Thryv Content Library.
- Navigate to your Content Library
Click Social in the left-hand navigation. Then click Content Library. The Content Library displays all content items saved to your Thryv account, including images, news articles, and other saved content.
- Open Bulk Operations
Click the Gear icon in the top-right area of the Content Library. Select Bulk Operations from the dropdown menu that appears.
- Select Default Accounts as your bulk operation
In the bulk operations window that appears, click Select Default Accounts. The bulk operations window will update to display the content selection and account configuration options.
- Select the content you want to update
Click Select Content to open the content selection screen. The content selection screen displays all content items in your Content Library as individual tiles. Select the content items you want to update by clicking on each tile. You can select one or multiple pieces of content at a time.
The following selection options are available at the bottom of the content selection screen:
- Select All Content, selects every content item in your Content Library at once
- De-Select All Content, removes all current selections
- Select Content by Content Tag, selects all content items that share a specific content tag at once
Once you have selected all the content items you want to update, click Add X Items in the lower-right corner of the content selection screen, where X represents the number of content items you have selected.
- Configure the default account settings
After clicking Add X Items, you will be returned to the bulk operations window with your selected content items now listed. Configure the following settings before applying the bulk update:
- Existing Accounts checkbox, check the Existing Accounts checkbox if you want to remove the current default social accounts from the selected content before adding the new ones. If you leave the Existing Accounts checkbox unchecked, the new default accounts will be added to the existing default accounts already assigned to the selected content.
- Account selection, check the circle next to each social account you want to set as the default for the selected content. To select all connected social accounts at once, click Select All Accounts.
Once your accounts are selected, click Add X Default Account(s), where X represents the number of accounts you have selected.
- Wait for the bulk operation to complete
After clicking Add X Default Account(s), the bulk operation will begin processing. The changes may not appear instantly in your Content Library. You can close the bulk operations window and continue working in Thryv while the operation completes in the background.
