If your posts for your Google Business Profile are not publishing, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue. In order to troubleshoot, you'll need to sign in to your Google Business Profile directly (not access through Thryv).
First, verify that your GBP is verified on Google, and that there are not any duplicate locations for your account. Even if your profile is fully verified, a duplicate that is not verified may cause Google to block posting to the verified profile. To do so, sign in to your GBP and click on the tri-dots>Your Business Profiles.
In the next screen, ensure there are no duplicate profiles.
Next, verify that the email address you used to link the account is an Owner on the Google location. To do so, sign in to your GBP and click on the tri-dots>Business Profile Settings.
In the next screen, click on Managers to confirm whether your account is a Manager or Owner.
Verify that the email address you used to link the GBP to Thryv is an Owner (not a manager) on the profile. If you find that the email you used to connect is a manager, you'll need to either make the profile on Google an Owner rather than a manager, or disconnect the channel in Thryv and reconnect with an Owner profile.
Finally, ensure that the GBP is able to post, by creating a post directly from your profile. If you are unable to post directly from your GBP, then there is an issue with your GBP that must be resolved by Google support.
If you have gone through all of these steps, and you are able to post directly from your GBP, but not from Thryv, sign in with your Thryv credentials and create a post in our User Community and we can help troubleshoot directly.
