How to use CaptionAI to help write your captions
When creating content in Thryv, you are able to call for help from Caption at any time by clicking on CaptionAI
In the text box, enter a prompt for CaptionAI. A prompt is a short instruction or description that tells CaptionAI what kind of caption you need — for example, a question, a statement, or a brief description of your post. CaptionAI will use this input to generate a relevant caption for your social media post.
Next, use the Tone drop-down to select how you want the caption to come across to your audience. Then, use the # Captions drop-down to select how many caption options you would like to generate. You do not have to use all of the captions generated. Please note that the maximum number of captions is 10.
If you would like captions tailored to each of your connected platforms, enable the Platform Specific Captions toggle. As a general rule, the fewer platforms you select, the better CaptionAI can optimize the caption for each one.
Use the Hashtags and Emojis toggles to choose whether you want these included in your captions. Please note that the hashtags generated by CaptionAI are suggested based on what it believes will perform well — they will not necessarily include your saved hashtags in Thryv.
Once you have made your selections, click Generate Captions. Please note that you will still have final approval before any captions are published.
The generated captions will appear in a pop-up window. If you are not satisfied with the results, click Regenerate Captions to get a new list of options.
To select a caption for your post, check the box next to it and click Select Captions to add it to your post. If more than one caption is selected, they will be rotated each time the content is recycled.
Once you save your caption, it will automatically be added to your post. You are still able to edit the caption as normal, so you have complete control over the content of your post.
