There are a few additional steps you may need to take to connect Instagram. First, ensure you have an Instagram Business account. Second, ensure your Instagram Business account is connected to your Facebook Business Page.

The steps below will guide you through converting a personal Instagram account to a Business account. Please note that you will not lose any photos or other content during the switch; however, Business Profiles cannot be set to private.

Convert to a Business Profile:

1. Go to your Instagram profile on your mobile device and tap the menu icon in the top-right corner.
2. Tap Sign Up for a Business Profile.
3. Tap Create New Account or Convert Existing Account.
4. Make sure your profile is set to Public. Private accounts cannot be switched to Business accounts.
5. On the Set Up Your Business Profile page, review your business contact information, make any necessary changes, and tap Done.

By using a Business account on Instagram, you will get access to new business features and Instagram insights. Thryv will also be able to track analytics on your number of recent comments and followers.

Connecting Your Instagram Business Account to Your Facebook Business Page

It is important that you are the Admin on your Facebook Business Page before attempting to connect your Instagram Business account. You can complete this step easily from within the Instagram app.

To link your Instagram account to a Facebook Page:

Android

1. Go to your Instagram Business profile and tap the menu icon.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll down and tap Meta Accounts Center, then tap Set Up Accounts Center.
4. If you have not already done so, enter your Facebook login information, or tap Continue as [Your Name].
5. Verify that the correct Facebook account is displayed and tap Continue.
6. Tap Add [Your Account Name] to connect your account.

iPhone

1. Go to your Instagram Business profile and tap the menu icon.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll down and tap Meta Accounts Center, then select Facebook.
4. If you have not already done so, enter your Facebook login information, or tap Continue as [Your Name].
5. Verify that the correct Facebook account is displayed and tap Continue.
6. Tap Add [Your Account Name] to connect your account.

Desktop

1. Log in to your Instagram account, click your profile picture in the top-right corner, and select Settings.
2. In the bottom-left corner, click Meta Accounts Center.
   
3. Click on Add Accounts 
   
    
4. You will be prompted to log in to Facebook. Click on Continue As (Your Name). Note that it will temporarily sign into your personal Facebook page. You will immediately be able to sign into your business page. You are not granting access to your personal page in any way
5. Ensure that your correct Instagram Business Account is appearing and click on Continue 
   
6. Finally confirm and add your business
   

When your page is added, it will appear under Accounts & Profiles

Connecting your Instagram Business Account to Thryv Marketing Center™:

Once you have completed the steps above, you can connect your Instagram Business account to Thryv Marketing Center.

From the Social tab, click on the gear icon:

Then, click on Add New, and select Instagram
