Why Your Automated Content Schedule May Not Be Loading
When your automated content schedule is set up but the queue appears empty, the most common reason is a mismatch between the social media accounts selected in your schedule and the default publishing accounts assigned to your content items in the Content Library. For content to appear in your schedule automatically, the default accounts assigned to each content item must include at least the same accounts selected in your schedule. For example, if your schedule is set to publish to Instagram and Pinterest, each content item must have both Instagram and Pinterest selected as default accounts. If even one account is missing from the content item, that content will not load into the schedule.
The screenshot above shows an automated content schedule in Thryv with Instagram and Pinterest accounts selected. The queue is empty because the content items in the Content Library do not have both Instagram and Pinterest set as default accounts. The schedule displays the selected accounts in the upper right corner. The queue will remain empty until the content items are updated to include the matching accounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

This article covers how to fix automated content schedules that are not loading in Thryv, including how to update default accounts on individual content items and how to use Bulk Operations to update multiple content items at once. This article does not cover how to create a content schedule or how to connect social media accounts to Thryv. Why is my automated content schedule queue empty even though I have content in my Content Library?
The most common reason an automated content schedule queue is empty is a mismatch between the accounts selected in the schedule and the default accounts assigned to the content items in the Content Library. The default accounts on each content item must include at least the same accounts selected in the schedule. Update the default accounts on the content items using the steps in the How to Fix a Single Content Item Not Loading Into Your Schedule section of this article, or use Bulk Operations to update multiple items at once.
My category tags match between the schedule and the Content Library but the queue is still empty — why?
Matching category tags alone is not enough for content to load into an automated content schedule. The default accounts assigned to each content item must also match the accounts selected in the schedule. Check the default accounts on the content items in the Content Library and confirm they include all accounts selected in the schedule.
Can I update default accounts on multiple content items at once?
Yes. Use the Bulk Operations feature in the Content Library to update default accounts on multiple content items at once. See the How to Fix Multiple Content Items Not Loading Into Your Schedule Using Bulk Operations section of this article for step-by-step instructions.
Does this article cover how to connect social media accounts to Thryv?
No. This article covers fixing content that is not loading into an existing automated content schedule. For help connecting social media accounts to Thryv, see how to connect social media accounts to Thryv.
