Your services are the foundation of how you get booked, charged, and remembered. Setting up your services correctly in Thryv Business Center saves you time on client coordination, reminders, follow-ups, reschedules, billing, and secure payments by automating the parts of booking that used to live in your head or on a paper calendar. When your services are configured with the right duration, price, location, and staff assignment, every client who books with you gets the same accurate experience, your team knows exactly what they are showing up to do, and you stop losing hours to back-and-forth scheduling messages.

How to Open the Services Page
To access your services, click Settings in the left-hand navigation. Then click My Services in the center of the screen. The My Services page displays a list of any current categories of services and the specific services you offer. From the top of the page, you can add new services or categories, and from inside the list, you can edit or delete any current service.
How to Add a New Service
To add a new service, click the orange Add button at the top of the My Services page. You can also click the add button below any existing category to add a service directly to that category. When you add a new service, you will be given two options for the service type.
Choose the Service Type
Two service types are available when you create a new service:
One-on-one appointment. A service for a single client at a scheduled time.
Group event. A service that multiple clients can book for the same scheduled time.
Enter the Service Name and Location
After selecting the service type, fill in the basic service information including the name and the location of the service. Five location options are available for one-on-one appointments:
Face-to-face at a business address. The client comes to your business location.
Client sets the address over the phone. You contact the client to confirm where the service will take place.
Business calls the client. You initiate the call to the client at the scheduled time.
Client calls the business. The client initiates the call to your business at the scheduled time.
Online. The service takes place over Skype, Zoom, or another online channel.
For face-to-face services, the client will set the address at the time of booking if your account is configured to allow it.
Set the Duration and Price
Next, choose the duration of the appointment. Then decide if the service has a price associated with it. If the service has a fee, set the price and choose whether clients are required to pay online during booking or if they can pay later. If the service is free, select the no-fee option.
Assign Staff Members to the Service
Assign the staff member or members who will provide the service. You can choose individual staff members one at a time, or select all staff members at once. Only the staff members assigned to a service can be booked for that service.
Save Your Service or Continue to Advanced Settings
With the basic settings configured, you have two options:
Click Create to save the service with the basic settings only.
Click Advanced at the bottom of the screen to set up additional settings such as descriptions and pictures before saving.
Once you click Create, the new service is added to the selected category in your My Services list and is ready to be booked by clients.
