Scheduling a Multi-Service Appointment
To get started, click on a time on the calendar, or New>Appointment. Select or create your client. Then, select your first service.
This will bring you to the normal appointment scheduling window. From here, click on Add another service.
From here, select the additional service you would like to add.
You can continue to add additional services to this appointment (up to 50). Repeat these steps until you have added all services to the appointment. Note that the services will always appear in the order that you add them.
Once scheduled, the multi-service appointment will appear on your calendar, broken down into each services individually.
Enable Your Customers to Schedule a Multi-Service Appointment
To increase revenue and book more services, add multi-service appointments to your online scheduler. This will allow your customers to book compatible services together, resulting in more business for you!
To enable customers to book multi-service appointments on your website or in your client portal, navigate to settings. Then click on booking options. On this page, select the radio button that says "Clients can book appointments for multiple services in a single booking"
When this is selected, customers will be able to select up to 5 services in one booking through your client portal. When the settings for these services conflict, the most restrictive rule in the services selected will apply to the entire booking. For example, if a customer selects a service in which payment is required upfront, then only other services which require payment upfront will be available to book with it.
There are some limitations to consider when enabling your customers to book multiple services:
- Group events are not eligible to be booked together with other services
- After selecting the first service, only compatible services (same location, staff member, and availability) will remain available for your customer to click. This will prevent possible conflicts when scheduling
- The booking policies, intake forms, and terms and conditions will apply based on your global business settings. Individual exceptions to your settings, like a custom intake form, will not be honored when multiple services are booked together.
- All selected services must be booked with the same staff member.
Customer view of a Multi-Service Appointment
When a customer visits your website or client portal to with multi-service booking enabled, checkboxes will appear next to each service. If a customer only wants to select one service, they are still able to do so. If they select multiple, the services will be combined into one appointment.
Your customer will receive one email containing each of the included services in the order that you added them. The email will also contain a payment link where your customer can pay for all of the services in a single payment. Note that while the client receives one email, they will receive individual .ics files for each service.
When your customer clicks on Click To Pay, they will be taken to a checkout screen to pay for all services. The price for each services will display, and your client will be able to pay for all of them at once. Note that although checkboxes appear, your customer does not have the ability to pay for services individually, they can only pay for all services.
When viewing their bookings in their client portal, your customer will see both services individually.
Managing a Multi-Service Appointment
When you click on a multi-service appointment, the details for the specific service clicked on will appear. However you will be able to see that this is part of a multi-appointment booking
Click on View bookings to see all services included in this appointment. Click on a service to be taken to the details screen for that segment of the appointment.
If you reschedule or cancel one service in the multi-service booking, it will split up and will no longer be considered a multi-service booking. In other words, to reschedule or cancel a multi-service booking, each service must be done individually. This also means that your customer will now be able to pay for them individually.
Note: If you have 3 or more services combined into one appointment, moving one service will leave the others intact as a multi-service booking. Only the moved appointment will be separated.
