What Data Syncs Between HubSpot and Thryv Business Center
The HubSpot integration syncs contacts and estimates between HubSpot and your CRM in Thryv Business Center. Note that estimates are referred to as Quotes in HubSpot. The integration supports one-time syncs in either direction as well as a bi-directional ongoing sync.
How to Install the HubSpot Integration
To install the HubSpot integration, click App Market in the left-hand navigation of your Thryv Business Center account. Find the HubSpot Integration app in the app list and click the app tile to open the app detail page.
Click Get This App in the top-right corner of the app detail page to begin the installation.
A permissions screen will appear. Check the box to grant the necessary permissions for Thryv Business Center and HubSpot to communicate, then click Submit.
A pop-up window will appear with options to either create a new HubSpot account or log in to an existing HubSpot account using your HubSpot credentials. If you already have a HubSpot account, log in with your existing credentials and skip to the How to set up a contacts sync section of this article.
How to Create a New HubSpot Account During Installation
If you do not have a HubSpot account, you can create one during the installation process. To begin, enter the email address you want to use for your HubSpot account in the email field. The email address does not need to match the email address you use to log in to Thryv Business Center, but it will be used to log in to HubSpot going forward. Click Verify Email. A unique verification code will be sent to the email address you entered.
Enter the verification code in the code field and click Next.
Create a password for your HubSpot account. The password does not need to match your Thryv Business Center password, but it will be used to log in to HubSpot going forward.
Enter your first and last name as you want them to appear in HubSpot, then click Next.
HubSpot will ask several questions about how you plan to use HubSpot and your experience level with CRM software. Answer each question to help HubSpot personalize the setup guidance for your new account.
After completing the questionnaire, select the HubSpot account you want to connect to Thryv Business Center from the account list, then click Choose Account.
Click Connect App to complete the installation.
A green checkmark will appear next to your account name confirming the installation was successful.
How to Set Up a Contacts Sync
The HubSpot integration can sync contacts one time in either direction or on an ongoing bi-directional basis. To begin, choose the sync type you want to set up and click Setup and Run for a one-time sync or Setup and Enable for an ongoing bi-directional sync.
Note: A bi-directional sync only includes new or changed contacts going forward from the date the sync is enabled. The bi-directional sync does not include contacts that already exist in either platform at the time of setup. To sync both current and future contacts, complete a one-time sync in each direction in addition to the bi-directional sync.
To sync contacts, click the setup button for the contacts sync direction you want. A confirmation screen will appear. Click Save to start the sync. No field mapping is required for the contacts sync.
How to Set Up an Estimates Sync
The HubSpot integration can also sync estimates between Thryv Business Center and HubSpot. Estimates are referred to as Quotes in HubSpot. To set up an estimates sync, click the setup button for the estimates sync direction you want. One-time syncs in either direction and an ongoing bi-directional sync are available.
If you are syncing estimates from Thryv Business Center to HubSpot, one additional step is required. You must select a HubSpot quote template to use for the synced estimates. The available templates are Default Modern, Default Original, and Default Basic. Note that item descriptions listed within a Thryv Business Center estimate will only sync to a HubSpot quote if you select the Default Modern or Default Original template. The Default Basic template does not support line item descriptions.
After selecting the template, click Save to start the sync. No field mapping is required for the estimates sync.
Note: When a quote created in HubSpot is synced to Thryv Business Center and then edited in Thryv Business Center, the updated estimate will sync back to HubSpot as a new quote rather than updating the original quote. This is a limitation of the HubSpot API and cannot be changed.
What to Expect After Syncing
After running a one-time sync, a timestamp will appear on the integration screen showing the last time the sync was run. To run the sync again, click Setup and Run for the same sync option.
For a bi-directional ongoing sync, the integration screen also displays a toggle that lets you turn the sync on or off at any time.
When a contact is synced from HubSpot to Thryv Business Center, the contact's record in your CRM will display HubSpot as the source.
To keep estimates and quotes in sync between Thryv Business Center and HubSpot, the Estimate Label field in a Thryv Business Center estimate must contain the same information as the Deal field in the corresponding HubSpot quote. These two fields are equivalent across the two platforms.

How to Uninstall the HubSpot Integration
To uninstall the HubSpot integration, return to the HubSpot integration screen in the App Market and click Uninstall in the top-right corner.
A confirmation prompt will appear. Click Uninstall again to confirm and remove the HubSpot integration and disconnect the connected HubSpot account.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will draft estimates in Thryv Business Center sync to HubSpot?
No. Only estimates that have been published can be synced to HubSpot. Draft estimates will not sync.
Will taxes sync between Thryv Business Center and HubSpot?
No. HubSpot does not support adding taxes by line item, so taxes cannot be synced between the two platforms.
Which contact fields sync between HubSpot and Thryv Business Center? Are any fields required?
The only required field for the contacts sync is an email address. The following table shows which contact fields sync between the two platforms.
Are estimate numbers the same between Thryv Business Center and HubSpot?
Estimate and quote numbers exist in both platforms but are handled differently. In HubSpot, quotes have a reference ID that is 17 digits with a dash. In Thryv Business Center, estimate numbers are typically 5 to 6 digits with dashes. HubSpot reference numbers cannot be edited, while Thryv Business Center estimate numbers can. When a Thryv Business Center estimate syncs to HubSpot, the estimate number will appear as a much shorter reference number in HubSpot. When a HubSpot quote syncs to Thryv Business Center, the dash in the reference number will be removed but the number will otherwise remain the same. Because Thryv Business Center assigns estimate numbers sequentially, syncing a HubSpot quote to Thryv Business Center will result in 17-digit estimate numbers going forward.
Does the note to client field sync between both platforms?
Yes. The note to client field will be sent to your customer and will appear in both Thryv Business Center and HubSpot.
Does a bi-directional sync include contacts that already exist in both platforms?
No. A bi-directional sync only includes new or changed contacts going forward from the date the sync is enabled. To sync contacts that already exist in both platforms, complete a one-time sync from Thryv Business Center to HubSpot and a one-time sync from HubSpot to Thryv Business Center in addition to the bi-directional sync.
