Thryv Leads will deliver leads from a variety of sources including calls & forms to your Business Center Inbox. Below are the types of leads and a brief explanation of the source:
- Warm Transfer calls - an agent will identify that they are calling from Thryv and provide basic details about the caller to confirm that the lead is a good fit. With your approval, the agent will transfer the caller through. Remember, while the agent is telling you about the caller, the lead is placed on hold. If the hold time is too long they may hang up. There is not a way to return the call in this instance
- Direct calls - leads were searching or expressing interest in the targeted services through a variety of online sources, and clicked or tapped (on mobile) to dial one of your call tracking numbers
- Form leads from a proxy website or landing page
-
Forms from visits to partnered websites that focus on matching consumers with local businesses to get quotes. These forms are matched to you if the service type and service area match the target for your campaign.
Tips for handling incoming lead calls
- It's important for you to provide a strong, professional introduction. Some calls and forms are from sources who have not visited your website and may not be familiar with your brand
- Remember who is meant to answer these calls. If you spend your day on a roof, face to face with customers, or otherwise unavailable, it may make more sense to direct calls to someone else, rather than your personal cell phone. If someone else answers the phone for you, make sure that they are trained to answer calls as well! Remember, your call recordings are also good for quality assurance for your staff
- Unanswered calls are one of the biggest reasons for lost leads. If a potential customer's first call isn't answered, they are more likely to try the next business they see rather than call again.
- Remember, calls are delivered via tracking lines. This means the number the customer may have saved for you is not your actual business number. This is ok! Your business phone number will still receive the call
- Be Prepared: Before picking up the phone, make sure you have all the necessary information about your products or services handy. This includes pricing, features, benefits, and any current promotions or discounts.
- A cloud-based phone solution can be a low-cost way to provide a more professional phone experience. The Business Center App Market offers call injection through an integration with Ring Central
Best practices for converting more leads to customers
- Create a process to follow up - earning a sale from a lead can take multiple contacts. It is possible that some leads are contacting you while they are still in the research phase of a purchase. Make sure that your customer has clear next steps if they want to proceed and an avenue to communicate any questions to you
- Make sure their information is recorded in Business Center. Business Center isn't just great for keeping records on active customers, it can be used for leads as well. Don't forget that Automated Campaigns and Announcements are a great way to nurture those leads
- Be cognizant of your follow up methods. Remember, leads who complete online forms tend to prefer a follow-up by email and/or text message.
- Need help getting started with an online form response? Here's a sample to work with:
“Hi, This is [Your Name] from [Your Company Name]. We received your recent request for [type of services] and would love to assist with [promotional offer or a free quote]!
