No two clients are ever exactly alike, and it's important to communicate important details about them to your staff. Business Center makes it easy to add a note to a client card so that your team can stay in the know about any unique details about a client. And don't worry! These notes are strictly internal, they will not display anywhere to your clients.

First, navigate to Clients and select your client from the list, and click on the client to bring up their client card. From the Client Card, click on Notes
Any previous notes about this client will appear. To leave a new note, click on the + button
In the dialogue box that appears, you will be able to create your note. Type your note in the space provided, and use the format bar to make changes to the font, alignment, spacing, or other details. When finished click Save
Once created, your notes will appear on the Client Card in chronological order. In addition to the note itself, it will also contain:
- The staff member who created the note
- A timestamp of when the note was created
- A timestamp of when the note was last edited
Any staff member is able to go back and edit a note, but Business Center will keep track of the time and staff member for when the note was last updated.
To edit or delete a note, click on the tri-dots on the far right of the note, and in the menu that appears, you can choose to edit the note, clone it, or remove it entirely.
Clicking on view/edit will bring up the same window as before to make changes to the note, with the exception of the timestamps at the bottom, which will now reflect when the note was both created and last edited. Click on Close to leave without making changes, or click on Save to save the changes made to your note.
Appointment notes
Any notes left on an individual appointment will also appear on this screen. To add a note to an appointment, first click on it from your calendar.
Then, on the appointment details screen, under Internal Note click on Add Note
In the dialogue box that appears, you will be able to create your note. Type your note in the space provided, and use the format bar to make changes to the font, alignment, spacing, or other details. When finished click Save
Upon saving, the note will be added to the client card, and from here can be edited the same as any other note. Note that editing the note on the client card will also edit the note on the appointment. The client card can have as many notes as desired, however an individual appointment can only have one note associated to it.
FAQ
Will a client ever see a note I've left about them?
No, notes are always internal only. They are not displayed anywhere to your clients.
Can any staff member edit any note?
Yes, provided the staff member has permission to view that client card. Business Center will always display a time stamp indicating which staff member edited the note and when.
Can I recover a deleted note?
No, this action can not be undone.
Can I tag a staff member in a note?
No, this functionality is not available with notes. If this is something you are interested in, this can be done through TeamChat
