Why Use Work Orders in Thryv Business Center
Work orders give your staff a clear, printable summary of exactly what needs to be done for a job — without requiring you to create a separate document. Thryv Business Center™ automatically generates a work order every time you create an estimate or invoice. The work order includes all line items, descriptions, quantities, and client information from the estimate or invoice, so your staff has everything they need to get the job done. Printing and distributing work orders keeps your team organized, reduces miscommunication, and ensures no job details are missed.
How to View and Print a Work Order
Thryv Business Center automatically generates a work order for every estimate and invoice. No additional steps are needed to create a work order. Follow these steps to access, view, and print a work order from an existing estimate or invoice.
- Navigate to the estimate or invoice
Open the estimate or invoice you want to generate a work order for. You can access estimates and invoices from the client card or from the invoices section of your Thryv Business Center account.
- Open the work order
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the estimate or invoice. A dropdown menu will appear containing the following options: Edit, View Work Order, Send, and additional actions depending on your account configuration. Click View Work Order from the dropdown menu.
- Review the work order
The work order will open in a new browser tab. The work order displays the following information pulled directly from the estimate or invoice:
- All line items included in the estimate or invoice
- Item descriptions
- Item quantities
- Client name and contact information
- Download or print the work order
From the work order tab, click the Download button to save the work order as a file, or click Print to send the work order directly to your printer. Distribute the printed or downloaded work order to your staff so they have the job details they need to complete the work.
