You are able to add sales tax to individual services. This step is crucial for online booking so that sales tax can be properly applied for each service. You can even add individual taxes for different services! This guide will show you how easy it is!

Select your Existing Service

To get started, navigate to Settings>Services.

Then, select the service to add the tax, and click on the edit icon.

Add Your Tax

Navigate to the section Price & display at booking

You can use either the shortcuts on the right or scroll down

After setting your price, click on Add Tax

 A drop-down will appear, select all taxes to apply to this service. You are able to select multiple taxes.

Below the price, you will see the total tax added to the service. Click on Price Breakdown to see the breakdown of how it will appear to your customer.

And that's it! This tax will automatically be applied to this service whenever it is booked online, by your staff, or added to an estimate/invoice.

If I add a tax to a service, will it automatically add the tax if that service is added to a package?

No, tax must be added to packages separately. Click Here for a guide to adding taxes to packages. 

Will this tax automatically apply if I add the service to an estimate/invoice?

Yes! The tax will automatically be added everywhere this service appears

If I add a tax to a service after an estimate/invoice has been sent, will the tax apply to that item?

No, adding a tax to a service only affects instances going forward. It will not change anything that has already been sent to a customer.
