Set Up the Integration
You are able to set up the integration from either Thryv or Keap, the result will be the same.
Set Up from Keap
To set up the integration from Keap, first navigate to Settings, and then click on Integrations.
Then, locate the Thryv Marketing Center integration and click on Connect.
In the window that appears, sign in with your Thryv Credentials.
To continue, click here to skip the section for signing in from Thryv.
Set Up from Thryv
Upon signing in to Thryv Marketing Center, you will be greeted with a pop-up inviting you to set up the integration. Click on Connect to Keap to get started.
If the pop-up is dismissed, you are always able to return to Keap Settings to set up.
In the window that appears, sign in with your Keap Credentials
Once you are signed in to both applications
Finally, check the box to agree to the terms of service and click on Agree & Continue
Next, click on Yes, connect to set up the integration between Thryv and Keap.

Thryv Marketing Center will help your business get found and chosen online, while Keap will automatically nurture those leads with automated follow ups and reminders, resulting in more sales for your business.
How Leads from Thryv are Added to Keap
Thryv Marketing Center will manage your online presence and your incoming leads. When a lead is captured in Thryv Marketing Center, it will automatically be added to Keap as a contact, and the pre-built automation will be set in motion.
Each lead comes with a scorecard showing all of the information contained for this lead that Thryv was able to capture. To hear the full recording, click Play on the audio player. Below the recording, AI will summarize the conversation, with special detail to job information and action items.
ThryvAI will assign a numerical score to the lead based on the conversation. The scores range from 1 through 5, and the number affects which automation will trigger in Keap. Here is how the score is calculated:
- 5 - Client booked an appointment or made a purchase.
- 4 - Productive conversation about services, even if no sale or appointment was made. May include quotes or contact info exchange.
- 3 - Existing customer calling about past work, questions, or to reschedule. Or, minimal interest with no contact info shared.
- 2 - Wrong-fit leads (e.g., outside service area, competitor research) with no clear interest.
- 1 - Spam, sales calls, wrong numbers, voicemails only, or unintelligible recordings.
Note: the AI lead score assigned by Thryv does not correspond to Lead Scoring in Keap. You are still able to assign your own lead score in Keap. This is used to assign the lead to the correct automation sequence in Keap.
How Leads Appear in Keap
Leads captured from Thryv are automatically added to Keap, with a few crucial components included:
- Tags are automatically applied. Thryv MC Lead is added to quickly distinguish the lead source, and Thryv's AI Score is added to route the lead to the appropriate automation.
- Automations are automatically enabled based on the AI lead score
- Tasks are automatically added by Thryv AI based on action items discussed when the lead is captured. These include but are not limited to: callbacks, appointments, quotes and more.
- Lead Attribution Information will let you know that this lead came from Thryv Marketing Center.
- Notes Section will contain the AI summary of the call
- Leads with a score of 4 or 5 are added to a Group called High Quality Leads
- Reporting for Thryv Marketing Center refreshes nightly. As a result, you may see leads appear in Keap before they appear in Thryv Marketing Center.
Automations
Once the integration between Thryv and Keap is enabled, a new Advanced Automation called Thryv AI leads follow up is automatically added to your automations. This pre-built automation covers the first step of routing leads according to quality. Where those leads go and what will happen to them next is up to you! You can customize the automation with your desired series of Whens and Thens to nurture this lead and turn it into a sale.
Pipelines
Based on their AI Lead score, leads will automatically be assigned to a pipeline in Keap. By default, the pipelines are mapped as follows:
- AI Score 3 leads are classified as Possible Lead
- AI Score 4 leads are classified as Hot Lead
- AI Score 5 leads are classified as Booked or purchase
- AI Score 1-2 leads are classified as Not Interested
Set Up the Next Steps When A Lead is Received
To fully configure the automation to route leads from Thryv, locate Thryv AI Leads Follow Up under Advanced Automations
The beginning stages of the automation are set up for you, in which leads are routed based on their AI quality score.
Note: To see the full description of a When Trigger or Then Action, zoom all the way in to 100% in the lower left corner of the canvas.
Complete the automation by adding the desired When Triggers and Then Actions steps for each lead type. To continue the steps in the automation, you can either click the Plus Icons, where the blue plus adds a Then Action, and the Green plus icon adds a When Trigger, or in the left-hand pane, click and drag the available When Triggers and Then Actions to the desired sequence on the canvas, and ensure steps are connected by an arrow when they're meant to follow one another. What are "When Triggers" and "Then Actions?"
The terms "When" and "Then" or "When Triggers" and "Then Actions" refer to the core logic of Keap's Automation Builder (both in the "Easy Automation" and "Advanced Automation" settings). They are the fundamental building blocks you use to create automated workflows.
Think of it as setting up a rule: WHEN [a goal/condition is met], THEN [an action should happen].
Here is a breakdown of what each term means and how they work together:
1. The "When Trigger" (The Trigger/Goal)
The "When" is the trigger that starts or moves a contact through an automation. It is the event that must happen for the rest of the sequence to begin.

- WHEN the tag "AI Score 5" is applied to a contact (meaning a client booked an appointment or made a purchase)
- THEN send an immediate SMS text message to thank the customer.
- THEN send an internal notification email to the sales owner: "New HOT Lead: Score 5."
- THEN automatically move the contact to the "Booked or purchase" stage in your Keap Pipeline.

FAQ
Does the AI Lead score from Thryv correspond to the lead scoring in Keap?
No, the lead score in Thryv is calculated based on the wording of the form fill or phone conversation. It will not update the lead score feature in Keap.
Can I change the pre-built automations that are created?
Absolutely. The "Thryv AI Leads Follow Up" is designed as a starting point. You are encouraged to edit the steps so that leads flow through your business pipeline and make managing your leads easier.
Do Leads captured before I set up the integration transfer to Keap?
No. Once the integration is set up, leads begin transferring immediately, but leads from before the integration are not included.
Can the tags in the automation be changed?
No, in order for the integration to work, the tags must be consistent and can not be edited. However, you are able to add additional tags to leads in Keap after they are synced from Thryv.
