Start a New Chat
Starting a new chat in TeamChat is super quick and simple. To get started, select the + icon next to the Chats section. Then select the team member you like to start a chat with and select create. You will be taken directly to the new chat, where you can type your message!

Start a New Group Chat
You can message multiple team members at once. To get started, select the + icon next to the Chats section.
Then select the team members you like to start a chat with and select create. You will be taken directly to the new chat, where you can type your message!

Using @ Mentions
Need to get the attention of one of your team members in a chat? Mention the team member by typing the @ symbol, then selecting this team member's name. This will create a notification for them. This is a great tool to make sure your team members don't miss an important message!
Other Chat Actions
The team member that sends a message can take other actions:
- Share a photo
- Share a file
- Share an emoji
- Select the cloud icon to download a photo or file
- Select the pencil icon to edit the message
- Select the heart icon to add an emoji reaction to the message.
- Select the trash can icon to delete the message
Keep TeamChat Open in a New Tab
Open TeamChat into a separate window, to keep receiving real-time notifications and messages without interrupting your workflow in Thryv.
Select the icon next to settings, to open TeamChat into a new tab.
