We know this is a hard time for small businesses and some businesses interact with people on a daily basis and some do not. Every state or city now has different restrictions on businesses and social distancing. If your business is closed because of the restrictions placed by the pandemic, fear not as we have plenty of tips and ideas for you to help you keep up with your business while at home. Just because you are home and not working business, as usual, doesn't mean you should stop your business entirely. There are so many important things you can do to keep your business going if it is available through a home or to get ready for when this is all over and things go back to normal.
Think of this time as an opportunity to get everything done on your to-do list that you have been meaning to do, but didn't have time.
We know most of you are busy with your business normally and sometimes even too busy actually doing your job that you don't have time to manage the development of your business. If you are home now and can't spend time seeing clients or doing your services, use it to think up improvements to your business. Think of any services you can add, find classes, certificates, or learning videos to improve your skills. Think about what problems you have when you are busy with clients and ways to be more efficient so you don't run into that again. Try to make your day to day running your business easier.
Don't let this time get you down. Stay positive and get organized.
The best thing you can do right now is to stay positive. I know it is hard with everything going on and worrying about the future, but this will pass and we want you to come out of it ready to hit the ground running. Start getting organized by cleaning up your client list. Wherever your client list currently is, wherever you keep details of potential clients, take the time to go through it all and make sure you have it all cleaned up. Make sure you have all your duplicated merged and you have all the information you are needed from clients moving forward. Plan your comeback.
Come up with a plan on how you are going to get customers and business back up once everything is back to normal. Start building out an announcement for your clients about your reopening, or when you go back to having full hours if you have limited it. You will want to make sure that your customers know when you are back and ready to go. You will also want to announce it on your social media pages, website or maybe even a personal message to your most valuable customers. You can get all this messaging ready now so when the time comes all you have to do it press Send.
