The Thryv Calendar is designed to help organize your workday more efficiently. It can be used to manage your daily workflow and lessen the likelihood of a no-show appointment because Thryv will notify and remind your clients of all updates.
To create a new appointment, select Calendar from the left navigation bar.
From this tab select Schedule New button and select Appointment from the drop-down menu.
Choose Who the Appointment is with:
You can Search from your existing clients by name, email or tag, you can add New Job or Client, or select from your Recently Active clients that will be displayed.
Select the service for the appointment. Services will populate from your services menu (Settings>Services) or you can also choose to add a custom service, which will allow you to add a custom appointment title.
Select or Type the Date & Time for the appointment.
Note that if you attempt to schedule an appointment with a staff member that is already booked, a warning will display notifying you of the potential conflict.
Need to create an appointment that is for multiple days? Select the All day toggle at the bottom of the calendar. It will change the appointment to an all-day appointment. You can then select the same day as the end date for a 1 all-day appointment or select a different end date if the appointment takes several days. Need to create multiple reoccurring appointments? Select which Staff Member will take the Appointment. (It will default to the primary Admin assigned int Thryv)
Next, you can set the price for the appointment. Note that this will default to the price settings for the selected service. However, you can make a one-time change from this screen. To make a permanent change to the price settings for that service, you would need to edit the service.
- Fixed Price - This will create a set price for this appointment. It will default to the saved price for this service if one exists, and will require payment according to the service settings (Due upfront, pay at time of appointment, etc)
- Custom Price - This will not display a price on the service. It will not display price information on the confirmation sent to the client. Your client will need to refer to their invoice for a price. This is useful for appointments where the price may vary.
- No Fee - There will be no price associated with this appointment
You can also add additional recipients to this appointment. To do so, click on the drop down Additional Recipients and Email Notes. Then, add the email address for each additional recipient to the appointment under Additional Email Recipients
The additional recipients will receive a booking email with an .ics file, and will also be notified of any changes to the appointment. Click Here for a full guide to adding additional recipients to an appointment
Note: if any fees are associated with this appointment, they will only go to the primary contact on the appointment, and the primary contact is the only one who is able to pay the fees.
You can also include a message to the client, which will display in the appointment invite. To see more information about the client, select show more next to their name to see their contact information, last booking, and due & overdue payments.
The location, details & notifications for the appointment can be modified for new appointments but will default to the preset settings. (Please see Add Your Services to set up your services in Thryv)
