With Thryv, you can enable your landline to start sending and receiving SMS messages with your customers!
What magic is this?! We're about to tell you.
Simply go to Settings>Business Info>SMS Notifications:
Input your business landline phone number on the space indicated and click "Register". Note: You cannot use a Google Voice number.
Once you see that the "Register" button has changed to "Verified", you can now send and receive SMS messages through your Thryv Inbox.
You will need to ensure that you have a mobile number for the contact you would like to have a conversation with. If you do, you have two different ways that you can send a message.
The first way is to go to your Thryv Inbox, select New>Message>Choose a contact with a mobile number.
You'll notice that the "Text Message (SMS)" box is green.
Type your message in the box below, and click "Send". The message will now appear in your Thryv inbox. On the mobile app, you'll be able to communicate with your customers via Thryv inbox, and on your customers end, it will come through as a SMS/Text message.
Another way you can send SMS/Text messages once you register your landline is by going to Clients>Select Client with a mobile number>Select "New">Select "Message".
The same box will populate, and the "Text Message (SMS)" box should appear green. Follow the above prompts to send the message, and you're all set!
Our recommendation is to use this with the Thryv Mobile App, which you can download on Google Play and the App Store on iOS.
Note: It may take the system a few minutes to be able to send messages once you have verified your landline.
