Keep your records from Insightly in sync with Thryv Business Center™. Customize the import, export, and sync of your contacts and leads between the applications to ensure your records stay up to date and accessible
This app integration is free in the Thryv App Market. You will need to sign in or create an Insightly account before installation. Visit the Insightly website to see what option best suits your business.
Here is a breakdown of what data will sync between Insightly and Thryv. All fields in the table will sync to Thryv Business Center, while First Name, Last Name, Email, and Phone will sync to Thryv® Command Center.

What to Expect from this Integration
Before Install
Before syncing Insightly with Thryv Business Center, first ensure that each field in one software has an equivalent field in the other. If Thryv Business Center has fields you want to sync that don't exist in Insightly, you will need to create them there. If Insightly has fields that don't exist in Thryv Business Center, you will need to create those fields by navigating to Settings>Client & Contact Info, Click Here for a full guide!
Then, you will need to create an example client in Thryv Business Center to be used in the configuration process. Make sure that every field that is going to be utilized in the sync has data in that field on the client card.
What to Expect from this Integration
The integration between Thryv® and Insightly offers seven sync options to utilize or choose from.
Note: Any bi-directional sync will only apply to new contacts or contacts when info changes. If your goal is to sync both current and new contacts or leads, you will need to complete both an initial one-time and set up an ongoing sync

Insightly Contacts: Bi-directional Ongoing Sync
- An ongoing sync flow that updates or creates new records (Insightly contacts and Thryv Business Center clients) from both apps. Email address is the unique identifier for a client.

Insightly Contacts: Insightly to Thryv Business Center One-time Sync
- The Contacts from your Insightly account will be imported to Thryv Business Center as Contacts. You will map the fields to utilize contact fields during the customized configuration setup.

Insightly Contacts: Thryv to Insightly One-time Sync
- The Clients from your Thryv Business Center account will be exported to Insightly as Contacts. You will map the fields to utilize contact fields during the customized configuration setup.

Insightly Leads: Bi-directional Ongoing Sync
- Ongoing bi-directional sync that updates or creates new records (Insightly leads and Thryv Business Center leads) from both apps.

Insightly Leads: Insightly to Thryv Business Center One-time Sync
- The Leads from your Insightly account will be imported to Thryv Business Center as Leads. You will map the fields to utilize lead fields during the customized configuration setup.

Insightly Leads: Thryv Business Center to Insightly One-time Sync
- The Leads from your Business account will be exported to Insightly as Leads. You will map the fields to utilize lead fields during the customized configuration setup.
Limitations to consider:
- Client (remember that this could also be Pet, Case, Account, Job, or another CRM term as defined by your settings) fields are not supported for mapping in the “Insightly Leads: Thryv to Insightly One-time Sync” and “Insightly Contacts: Thryv to Insightly One-time Sync” options. In other words, only Contact fields will sync.
Installation Guide
From the Marketplace, choose Insightly:
Select "Install".
Next, you will be brought to the permissions screen, where you will be asked to provide permissions to connect Thryv and Insightly
You will need to check the box to agree to the terms and conditions, then click Submit.
A window will pop up to connect an Insightly account (ensure that you have allowed pop-ups in your browser). If the window does not pop up automatically, click on the Connect an account button.
To Add the URL and API Key, log in to your Insightly account. To find your API key and URL:
- Click on Your avatar
- Go to User settings
- Copy and paste the API key/API URL to the auth screen
Once logged in you will need to set up an integration with the available sync options.
Sync Your Contacts
The process for all syncs of Contacts, including one-time in either directions, or a bi-directional sync, will follow this process.
To set up this sync, click on Setup and Enable
You will be brought to the screen to configure the sync. First, determine whether these clients have opted out of receiving email marketing messages. By setting the toggle to Yes, you are saying that these customers have opted Out of receiving email marketing messages (this will not affect your ability to email these customers normally.
Next, map the fields to sync between the softwares. Insightly fields will appear in order. To map them to a field in Business Center, use the Thryv Field drop-down to select a field in Business Center to map the data. Note that an asterisk marks a required field and can not be skipped. When you are finished mapping click Next.
Once you have completed the whole integration configuration, click on the Save button. When you do so, the sync of contacts from Insightly to Business Center will begin.
Sync Your Leads
The process for all syncs of Leads, including one-time in either directions, or a bi-directional sync, will follow this process.
To set up this sync, click on Setup and Enable
First, select a status in Insightly for all incoming Leads from Business Center. Note that all incoming leads will be converted to the same status
Then, use the drop-down to assign a lead owner in Insightly. All leads will default to the same owner, and can be reassigned in Insightly.
Select a Lead Source for all incoming leads. All leads will share the same source
Determine whether these leads have opted out of receiving email marketing messages. By setting the toggle to Yes, you are saying that these leads have opted Out of receiving email marketing messages (this will not affect your ability to email these leads normally.)
Next, map the fields to sync between the softwares. Insightly fields will appear on the left. To map them to a field in Business Center, use the Thryv Field drop-down to select a field in Business Center to map the data. Note that an asterisk marks a required field and can not be skipped. When you are finished mapping click Next.
Once you have completed the whole integration configuration, click on the Save button. When you do so, the sync of leads from Insightly to Business Center will begin.
After Installation
You can edit the mapping of the fields of the current integration at any time. Click on the Setup and Run button and it will open the integration edit setup.
- You can add or remove the mapping fields.

Uninstall
If you wish to uninstall Insightly from your account, you can do so by clicking the Uninstall button available on the sync options screen in the top right corner. This will stop any ongoing syncs, however any previously synced information will remain. If you wish for it to be deleted you will need to do so directly in the desired software.
Once you click, it will ask you for a confirmation, if you want to remove the Insightly app. Click the Uninstall
