Did you know your business landline phone can be enabled to send text messages? Make yourself even more reachable to your customers by enabling Text to Landline (TTLL) with Command Center. If you don't have a landline that can be text-enabled, don't worry! We will also show you how to acquire a number that can be used for sending text messages to your customers through Command Center.
To get started, click on the Add Channel button:
Then, locate Text to Landline and click on Connect
A window will appear advising what this app will do. Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions and then click on Connect to TTLL
Next, enter your legal first and last name and email address. Then, click on Next
Next, enter your full business address. Click on Next
Finally, enter your business information. In the Vertical Type drop-down, select your industry. If your exact industry is not available, find the closes match from the options available. When all of the fields are complete, click on Next
Some numbers are not able to be used with TTLL. If this is the case for you, we still have a solution for you! Click Here to skip down to that section!
If successful, you will see this screen. Click on Done
Note that it will take Command Center approximately 30 minutes to verify your number. Once verification is complete, TTLL will appear in your available channels and you will be able to send and receive SMS messages from your business landline.
If your number is not eligible for TTLL
Your landline may not be able to connect with TTLL. If this is the case, don't worry! Thryv can acquire a number for your to use to send sms messages through Command Center. You will be able to send and receive text messages through this number, as well as make phone calls and receive voicemails. To get started, click on Get A New Number
You will be redirected to instead connect the Calls channel, which will acquire a number for your business to use. You will be assigned a number in your area code. Click on Use This Number to proceed.
There is a small chance that there are not any available numbers in your area code. In this instance a window will appear asking you to enter a different area code to search for a number.
Calls will appear in your available channels and you will be able to send and receive SMS messages from your business landline. In addition, you will be able to use this number to also make phone calls and receive voicemails. Click Here for a full guide to Calls
